Andy and I always looked forward to spending time with Joan, we very much enjoyed her company. Joan was a kind, lovely, elegant, gentle and gracious person and we will miss her greatly. xx

I was lucky enough to have Joan as my sister-in-law. She was one in a million. The kindest person you could ever wish for. A true friend from the start of my becoming a family member for over 62 years. Will miss our chats so much. Joan, you leave behind so many memories, happy and sad. God bless you x x

Aunt Joan
“Hello dear, how are you?” is what you used to say,
Such caring, thoughtful words to hear, said in your gentle way.
An aunt respected through and through, unique to all of us,
No matter what challenges came along, there was no drama or any fuss.
For as long as I remember, your hair was as white as snow,
And your faith and belief in God above, was so important to you, I know.
As my dad’s big sis, you were so kind and he thought the world of you,
Now reunited once again, is a comfort to us, it’s true.
So thank you Aunt Joan for all the years, you’ve played a special part,
And memories of special times gone by, will stay forever in my heart.
Rest peacefully now, you’ve earned the rest, Heaven is now a happier place,
They’ve gained a special angel, but our hearts now have a space.
A void that nobody else can fill, an ache that goes so deep,
But we promise to smile with memories, while our hearts will want to weep.
Until we meet again, with love always, your niece, Carol x x x x
