Aunt Joan “Hello dear, how are you?” is what you used to say, Such caring, thoughtful words to hear, said in your gentle way. An aunt respected through and through, unique to all of us, No matter what challenges came along, there was no drama or any fuss. For as long as I remember, your hair was as white as snow, And your faith and belief in God above, was so important to you, I know. As my dad’s big sis, you were so kind and he thought the world of you, Now reunited once again, is a comfort to us, it’s true. So thank you Aunt Joan for all the years, you’ve played a special part, And memories of special times gone by, will stay forever in my heart. Rest peacefully now, you’ve earned the rest, Heaven is now a happier place, They’ve gained a special angel, but our hearts now have a space.
